Listen, Love, then Listen Some More

"The Irish gave the bagpipes to the Scotts
as a joke, but the Scotts haven't
seen the joke yet."
- Oliver Herford

In the last few months the memories of times long since forgotten have steadily began to resurface. In between love, heartache, biking while drunk, tubas, and the mysteries of the neon slinky, one thing remains constant.......music. Music is a wonderful thing as it simply goes with everything. When the memories were about everything around me crumbling, there was Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Louis Armstrong or Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. When the thoughts were of loved ones and the passionate moments we shared, there was always Barry White, NIN, or Ace of Base......don't ask, it's weird. When recalling drunken frat parties, there will always be I'm an Asshole by Denis Leary. When I was ready to fight there was Down with the Sickness by Disturbed or Ace of Spades by Motörhead...that didn't happen to much as I am a lover not a fighter. Music can help water down a powerful memory. It is also an amplifier that makes some memories that much better and sweeter.

Music is the A/C in the car ride of life. :)
